OUTFIT: Swim For It!

Really, now that summer's almost over, I finally have some time to relax. Which pretty much means that I am going shopping for swimsuits! Plus, I'm going swimming today to catch up with my college roommate. Here are some of my picks:

Mint is totally the IT color this season, and the best thing about this, is that it's reversible! Totally, two outfits in one, what???

Mint and aqua are pretty much my favorite colors right now. And that pop of fuchsia is perfect!

Off to the pool, ta.

JEWEL: State your piece

This necklace caught my eye as soon as I saw it appear, as if my magic, in my Etsy email. I wear pink a lot, so it's perfect, and oh so classy. I love the draping chains too.

SHOE LUST: Kick off those Sunday shoes

Even though summer is now almost over (no...........), I'm still in the process of finding the perfect sandals. Of course, I'll probably buy them right before the first snowfall, and have to suffer through not being able to wear them until next summer...

This pair from ASOS has really been calling my name, and now they're on sale.....

Off to church.

SHOE LUST: Pretty in Pink

Spotted these simple sandals. Reasons why to buy them:

1). I need new shoes. (But come on, who doesn't)?
2). Nice neutral color
3). But still jazz with the sparkles.

Therefore...they'll totally match anything this summer!

And honestly, who really needs a reason to buy a new pair of shoes?

Happy belated Fourth of July! Hope you enjoyed fireworks somewhere.

SONG: Somebody That I Used to Know

So I am COMPLETELY obsessed with this song and have had it on youtuberepeat.com for literally nonstop the last few days:

Listen to it, and be blown away by it's awesomeness. I can't believe that they were able to coordinate so well. And the guy on the right just cracks me up!

OBSESSED: Mason Jars as Cups

Being a broke college student means that you use whatever you can to adapt to your natural surroundings...sorta like a chameleon...or maybe not.

So, that being the case, using mason jars as cups is not only uber chic, but also totally fits being environmentally-friendly! Killing two birds with one stone. Yup, just sip your lemonade out of a mason jar. And save the world. One drink at a time.

Iced coffee. In a jar.

Hey, look. Gorgeous raspberry lemonade. In a mason jar. And hey look! You can etch it yourself.

Even smoothies?

Aw, these drinks are so summery...makes me want to throw a mason jar party...sorta like a margarita party, but totally classier.

So, who's up for it? Mason jar party? Yeah?

PHOTO: That Tree...

I came across these photographs of trees, somewhere in the blogosphere. They're a series of photographs by Myong Ho Lee. I love how they're just simple shots of a landscape, with a simple tree painted on a canvas. They're just striking in composition.

SONG: All those Fairytales are full of...

I've been mildly obsessed with this song lately. No, the music video doesn't really make sense. And yes, I know the song is really called "Payphone..."

But sexy Adam Levine and his voice...

"I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone, baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?"

It fits my mood right now.

Hope you have been enjoying your weekend.

SHOE LUST: Minty Fresh

There's a crisis that every girl faces at least once in her life....

A broken sandal strap!

So here I am, my last day in Columbus, OH, walking around on campus, and suddenly realizing that my flip-flop feels really loose. The slow realization that the strap is going to break! Valiantly trying to walk more properly, trying to make the strap stay in.....alas, it breaks.

Of course, I'm with two guys...neither of which realize the horrific implications of walking around the campus in my bare feet!

One leaves in disgust to go to class, and the other attempts to find a shoe store...and not knowing this campus at all, I'm at his disposal. The first store we go to? Foot Locker...typical boy.

Finding nothing appropriate there, we backtrack and end up at Urban Outfitters. Thank God.

$10 purchase of these awesome mint green sneakers, that I love love LOVE.

Best recent purchase ever.

What has been your worst fashion crisis? How did you react?

Have a wonderful warm Sunday! Ta.

Photo Chic

In other news, I am of the extremely firm opinion that photographers are the chicest group of people that I've ever met.

Case in point:

This girl rocks the shorts with pants, plus kitten-heeled shoes, all while taking a picture in a busy intersection. Hollaaa.

Of course, I look like this every day, even when I'm not out shooting, of course.

Summer Spotted

Although it is ONCEAGAIN snowing here at the end of April, I am in a summer mood. Whatever it takes to get my mind off of that silly snow that's coming down outside of my window...

And here is my perfect outfit for summer. I'm loving the polka dots paired with the striped bag. And those awesome laced sandals. Perfect.

Wrap it around...

Months ago, I went on a scarf spree...to appease my scarf obsession since I wanted a really warm scarf.

I found the best scarf ever at Gap! A couple of my friends had already bought it, and raved about how comfy and soft and warm it was, so tada, there I was.

This scarf was pretty much calling my name. As soon as I touched it, I fell in love! The scarf is seriously the softest I've ever felt, and it's large and I can wrap it around me when I'm cold, AND it's just warm in general! I have been wearing it nonstop since I got it (for 50% off at Gap!!!) Go get while you can!

( @ )

In other news, I'm still on the search for some lighter prettier scarves for spring now...

Story of My Life...Facebook.

This is an unscheduled break into my real life.

So, no joke. This is what happened to me yesterday. Stalking the cute guy I like online, through my iTouch, showing my friend his profile pictures...

Then, SOMEHOW my finger touches the LIKE button on the screen!!! And then you can't take it back!!!

And of course, I didn't even notice that my finger had actually hit the LIKE button!! So that reaction never happened. What REALLY happened, was that I hit the Like button on accident, then went about my day like nothing had happened. While really DYING inside because I stilllll haven't gotten an email from him.

Then, finally, that night, DING. the email! And what does he say? Oh, by the way, THAT PICTURE YOU LIKED ON FACEBOOK OF ME....blah blah blah. AHHH. Then I go into freakout mode!!!

Breather...at least he wrote back....does that mean he's OK with me creeping on his Facebook? Hmm.......

Back to regularly scheduled programming now....

Jason Wu for Target

I cannot wait for this line to roll out. I've been following Jason Wu since I was high school, I believe...ever since I found out he was from Taiwan, my home away from home.

When he finally got his big break with Michelle Obama's dress, I nearly wept.

Therefore, this new collection that will hit stores February 5th is to die for!

Here are my favorites:

Navy color block dress, the stripes at the bottom bring the right amount of fun into this dress.

Perfect combination of sweet and flirty. The pink polka-dot blouse is so perfect for work! (Probably my favorite out of the collection...yes I am super girly).

I love black and white...it will never go out of fashion. Timeless chic! Maybe not those sunglasses though...

Elegant purse, cute.

Ahh, floral scarf...I'm actually undecided about this, but I had to include at least one scarf!

Gold and black, another timeless combination.

Are you excited for the line to come out? What are your favorites? Will you up at 3 AM February 2 for the opening?

Dividing Thoughts

So, lately, I've been really interested in room divider screens. I think they can be so gorgeous and neat for  breaking up a room. But they are also quite versatile. Here are some faves:

This one is very gorgeous, but it doesn't really serve a purpose besides looking pretty is a bit out of my budget.

This one is such a neat idea! I love the fact that there are corkboards, so convenient for hanging things up. PLUS. When you feel like rearranging (something I do a lot), it's easy to move around! So neat!

I loved this wood screen.

I really like this white screen, with all the cut-outs. Very graphic and bold.

Of course, being Asian, I have to include this Asian print screen. I actually like this one a lot too. Cherry Blossoms are gorgeous. Plus, this is much more in my budget.

Finally, my personal favorite. Not sure where this screen is from, but I love how it looks in this room! This is some professional interior design gorgeousness.

Would you ever put room divider screens up in your house? Do you think they are effective, or simply there to look pretty?

Store: Madewell Spring 2012

I may or may not be obsessively looking at the new fashion lines that are coming out...

Madewell is also one of my favorites. Its concepts and outfits are so simple, yet so the looks are so great!

Here are my top three:

So if you know me, you know that I love color...and the different shades of red here, with that mustard purse are calling my name! Time to mix shades!
( @

White with green...could we get any simpler or classier for spring? I think not.
( @ )

Finally, this dress. Not sure about the denim jacket...but the dress is so cute. Would totally wear it as a sundress!
( @ )

Favorite looks for you? Check out the rest of the Madewell Spring 2012 Collection here.

Rebecca Minkoff Pre-Fall 2012 Line

Here are my three favorite looks from the pre-Fall 2012 line (didn't even know this had pre-fall lines!):

I love this skirt, the lines are great, and with those bright shoes, perfect!

( @ )

Show me something with turquoise, and I jump for it.
( @ )

Once again, my favorite colors make their appearance. This bag is going to be high up on my coveted list.
( @ )

What are your favorite looks?

Looking forward to any other new lines?

Arsenic and Old Lace

Recently, white dresses have been popping up on my radar. They look so sweet and summery, and I'm definitely looking forward to picking some up. The lace is also gorgeous.

White dresses, what are your thoughts? Too wedding dressy? Too summery? Other colors catching your eye?
