Color Day: Aquarmarine

Friday is Color Day.

Today, aquamarine. It's such a gorgeous color.

The reason my ears aren't pierced is because if they were....I'd be soo broke because of all the pairs of earrings I would have bought, then subsequently lost, or immediately forgotten about. This pair, because of its gorgeous color and excellent filigree design, I think would have made me hold onto them a bit longer...perhaps.

This pants are perfect for the HOT summer we're having right now. I love the pop of color!

I love this dress and photo! It's so gorgeous, and makes me want to have a winding staircase and a long train just so I could do this at home!

This kitchen is the best color ever! Nothing says "I'm ready to cook" like a dark aquamarine. I think that it really brightens up the kitchen, especially with those large windows! Who wouldn't want to cook there, enjoying the lovely morning sun shining through?

Thoughts on aquamarine this summer?

Kelly's New Clothes

Kelly Wearstler's clothing line is out! Her style in decorating is so interesting, and I've been waiting for her new line. Here are a few of my faves:

I love the muted colors, with that pop of soft pink. Gorgeous.

My friends will tell you that I have an obsession with scarves...because I tend to forget them everywhere because they are so gorgeous and such an easy accessory to help brighten up an outfit.

I love how these bangles are chunky, and the arty flowiness, broken up by the thorns. And the colors are so fall. I'm thinking about snatching that bottom one up. =)

And is tie-dye making a comeback? I love this skirt...doesn't look too 70s, and looks so comfy for a weekend out with the girls!

Any favorites?

Dreaming of Paris

I went to see Midnight in Paris last weekend with Z. Been hearing a lot about it, and it was just as good as I expected! So, not only were the outfits amazing, but the plot was really good too! Being an English major, I loved hearing all of the references to the different authors who were expatriates during the '20s. (My personal favorite was Gertrude Stein). Amazing movie, and highly recommended!

Owen Wilson was surprisingly good! I have never really liked him...his style of humorous movies. But in this movie, I really liked him.

I loved Rachel McAdams in this movie. She was brilliantly over-the-top demanding and fabulous. She's one of my favorite actresses...I definitely have a girl crush on her! And her outfits in this movie...simple, but so elegant:

And Marion Cotillard, who I recognized, but couldn't place. I IMDBd her after the movie, and she's Mal from Inception. Her outfits were gorgeous too!

And Carla Bruni! I'd never seen her before in a movie. She's gorgeous too.

It makes me want to go live in Paris too! I'm thinking about going on a trip, just like Gil and Inez...and then just staying there for a while. Maybe even never come back. =)

Keep it UP!

So, I've been out of commission for a while. Work this summer has been a bit hectic, but I'm back!

I saw this on lovely Design Darling's site, and LOVE IT:
