SHOE LUST: Kick off those Sunday shoes

Even though summer is now almost over (no...........), I'm still in the process of finding the perfect sandals. Of course, I'll probably buy them right before the first snowfall, and have to suffer through not being able to wear them until next summer...

This pair from ASOS has really been calling my name, and now they're on sale.....

Off to church.

SHOE LUST: Pretty in Pink

Spotted these simple sandals. Reasons why to buy them:

1). I need new shoes. (But come on, who doesn't)?
2). Nice neutral color
3). But still jazz with the sparkles.

Therefore...they'll totally match anything this summer!

And honestly, who really needs a reason to buy a new pair of shoes?

Happy belated Fourth of July! Hope you enjoyed fireworks somewhere.

SONG: Somebody That I Used to Know

So I am COMPLETELY obsessed with this song and have had it on youtuberepeat.com for literally nonstop the last few days:

Listen to it, and be blown away by it's awesomeness. I can't believe that they were able to coordinate so well. And the guy on the right just cracks me up!

OBSESSED: Mason Jars as Cups

Being a broke college student means that you use whatever you can to adapt to your natural surroundings...sorta like a chameleon...or maybe not.

So, that being the case, using mason jars as cups is not only uber chic, but also totally fits being environmentally-friendly! Killing two birds with one stone. Yup, just sip your lemonade out of a mason jar. And save the world. One drink at a time.

Iced coffee. In a jar.

Hey, look. Gorgeous raspberry lemonade. In a mason jar. And hey look! You can etch it yourself.

Even smoothies?

Aw, these drinks are so summery...makes me want to throw a mason jar party...sorta like a margarita party, but totally classier.

So, who's up for it? Mason jar party? Yeah?

PHOTO: That Tree...

I came across these photographs of trees, somewhere in the blogosphere. They're a series of photographs by Myong Ho Lee. I love how they're just simple shots of a landscape, with a simple tree painted on a canvas. They're just striking in composition.

SONG: All those Fairytales are full of...

I've been mildly obsessed with this song lately. No, the music video doesn't really make sense. And yes, I know the song is really called "Payphone..."

But sexy Adam Levine and his voice...

"I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone, baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?"

It fits my mood right now.

Hope you have been enjoying your weekend.

SHOE LUST: Minty Fresh

There's a crisis that every girl faces at least once in her life....

A broken sandal strap!

So here I am, my last day in Columbus, OH, walking around on campus, and suddenly realizing that my flip-flop feels really loose. The slow realization that the strap is going to break! Valiantly trying to walk more properly, trying to make the strap stay in.....alas, it breaks.

Of course, I'm with two guys...neither of which realize the horrific implications of walking around the campus in my bare feet!

One leaves in disgust to go to class, and the other attempts to find a shoe store...and not knowing this campus at all, I'm at his disposal. The first store we go to? Foot Locker...typical boy.

Finding nothing appropriate there, we backtrack and end up at Urban Outfitters. Thank God.

$10 purchase of these awesome mint green sneakers, that I love love LOVE.

Best recent purchase ever.

What has been your worst fashion crisis? How did you react?

Have a wonderful warm Sunday! Ta.
